About the opportunity

We are looking for an Assistant HR Advisor to join our HR Advisory Services team providing end to end case management support and to coach Poundland Retail Managers on processes relating to areas such as HR queries such as staff performance, absence management, suspensions, probation periods, flexible working, grievances etc.

As part of HR Shared Service, you will be responsible for:

  • Responding to customer phone and email queries on all HR aspects
  • Supporting end to end case management giving you an exposure to wider HR processes
  • Working closely with HR Advisors to ensure cases are managed effectively
  • Producing accurate casework documentation to a high standard
  • Recording, updating and maintaining accurate systems and associated databases/records
  • In conjunction with the HR Advisors you will work on the production and continuous review of all employee relations processes and associated support documentation.
  • Providing excellent customer service in line with our value of ‘We put customers first’.

About you

About you

You will ideally CIPD qualified or working towards it and have experience working in a similar HR role

The role would be suitable for a driven and motivated individual with a passion to develop career in HR field. You will be able to demonstrate excellent communication and problem solving and be confident in dealing with people at all levels.

It’s a busy and fast paced role and therefore ability to prioritise high volume workload with an awareness of implication in respect of cost and risk is also desirable.
