The role

This is a fantastic entry level position into Retail Merchandising.  

 

The purpose of this role is to support the Merchandising team by maximizing sales and profit opportunities through effective management of stock in store. 

It's ensuring the allocation of stock is in the right place at the right time, driving sales through improved availability, and reducing markdown and maximizing profit for the department.

 

Key Deliverables

  • Provide accurate sales reports and analysis to support the merchandising team with strategy decisions on stock, stores, grading and range planning
  • Attend store visits on a regular basis and communicate feedback to relevant teams
  • Collate accurate sales history reports to gain an understanding of best and worst sellers to support buying and merchandising teams with range planning decisions
  • Ensure all POs on department are raised accurately and sent to supplier when needed
  • Update and maintain accurate delivery schedule – accurate at all times
  • Load allocations in JDA allocation system in line with agreed plan, escalating issues to the Assistant/Junior Merchandiser
  • Respond to store queries and take action where appropriate
  • Build strong relationships between departments through clear and relevant communication with regular trade updates and sales performance. In particular – suppliers and merchandising, retail and DC teams
