About the opportunity...

We are seeking a talented Finance Business Partner for Retail to join our Commercial Finance team at Poundland in Walsall, with the flexibility of hybrid working.

As a key partner to our retail division, you will play a crucial role in providing financial insight and strategic support to drive our retail operations forward.

What you'll be doing...

  • Collaborating with the retail leadership team to provide financial analysis and insights that inform decision-making and drive business performance.
  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes for the retail division.
  • Analysing retail KPIs and trends, delivering actionable insights to improve profitability and efficiency.
  • Working closely with other finance teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
  • Leading financial projects and initiatives that enhance operational performance within retail.
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to the retail management team, providing guidance on financial matters and business strategy.

What you'll need...

  • Proven experience in a finance business partnering role, ideally within a retail environment.
  • Either full or part qualified accountant
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide clear, actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in financial modelling, forecasting, and budgeting processes.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
