We are recruiting for a Senior Merchandiser to join our Merchandising team based at our Customer Support Centre in Walsall. This role is a hybrid role working 3 days in the office per week.
Reporting to the Head of Merchandising, you will be responsible for leading and motivating the team to ensure we have the right products in stores and ensure that stock targets and availability are managed effectively to deliver the company sales and budgets.

As a Senior Merchandiser, your day-to-day duties will include:
• Responsible for coaching, motivating and leading a small team
• Working to deliver the planned sales and profitability of your department through effective planning and in-season trading
• Control the overall product ranging strategy to ensure the product is selected in line with sales and margin targets.
• Working closely with the buying team to maintain the department's seasonal range plans reflecting the planned category/supplier/option mix and open to buy (OTB) provision
• Contributing to Marketing Activity Planning Calendar to ensure events are planned and executed. It will include working cross-functionally with colleagues in the wider business to deliver seasonal events in conjunction with other business units
• Working closely with the buying, VM and retail teams to ensure that ranges are presented to their best in stores delivering products and promotions in line with the trading calendar
• Analyse historical information through SWOT assessments, and lessons learnt presentations to develop sales and profit plans in line with business requirements
• Developing and building strong relationships with suppliers
• Supporting the Head of Merchandising with activities and initiatives across the wider business
