Assistant Transport Team Manager - Day Shifts
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Assistant Transport Team Manager to join our Harlow Distribution Centre.
In this key role, you’ll support the Transport Team Manager in co-ordinating daily transport operations and people processes that keep our fast-paced supply chain running smoothly.

As an Assistant Transport Team Manager, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our transport function operates effectively, safely, and efficiently. You will:
• Support the Transport Team Manager with planning tasks across daily transport activity.
• Manage and monitor driver dispatch in line with the Transport Daily Plan.
• Conduct driver debriefs, ensuring accurate feedback and reporting.
• Analyse driver hours and ensure accurate journey time recording.
• Complete the Driver Delivery Schedule daily, recording journey hours, duty hours, fuel usage, and trunk information.
• Manage people processes including return-to-work interviews and workplace investigations, in line with company procedures.
• Provide reliable cover for the Transport Team Manager during periods of absence, including annual leave.
We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-moving logistics environment and can adapt quickly to change. You will need:
• Proven experience working within a transport or logistics setting.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records.
• Excellent communication skills and a confident, proactive approach to team engagement.
• A flexible attitude and willingness to support the team and business as required.
• IT literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
