Are you passionate about finding great talent and delivering an outstanding candidate experience? We’re looking for a motivated Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our Talent Acquisition Team at Poundland. Based in our Walsall Customer Support Centre with the flexibility of hybrid working, you will play a key role in identifying, attracting and engaging the very best candidates for roles across our business.

This role offers a fantastic opportunity to influence and shape the way we recruit while supporting hiring managers across Retail, Distribution and Support.

Your Impact and Responsibilities…

As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you’ll lead the end-to-end recruitment process and deliver an excellent experience for every candidate. You’ll also:

• Partner with hiring managers and People Partners to understand workforce needs and succession plans
• Support all aspects of the recruitment lifecycle – from job posting to offer
• Source candidates directly using social media, ATS and talent pools to reduce agency spend
• Conduct initial telephone/video screenings and coordinate interviews
• Act as the main point of contact for candidates, ensuring timely and professional communication
• Track and report on key hiring metrics (e.g. time-to-fill, source of hire)
• Support onboarding and ensure our employer brand is well represented at every stage
• Contribute to talent acquisition projects and continuous improvement initiatives

Skills and Knowledge…

We’re looking for someone who brings a combination of recruitment expertise and a people-focused mindset. The ideal candidate will have:

•Previous experience in a Recruitment or Talent Acquisition role (in-house or agency)

•Strong interpersonal and written communication skills

•Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and sourcing tools (e.g. LinkedIn)

•Ability to manage multiple roles and priorities in a fast-paced environment

•A proactive approach to headhunting and building talent pipelines

•High attention to detail and a commitment to providing a best-in-class candidate experience

•Confidence working with hiring managers to define needs and set qualification criteria

•A collaborative, solutions-focused mindset and the drive to continuously improve
